GOC will kick off with Non-Resident Odias (NROs) of North America spearheading the initiative. The ultimate goal of GOC is to enfold all Odias in every geography in the world.The uniqueness of GOC is in it’s design to be a platform to bring the Odia Fraternity together in a digitally interactive format to promote connectivity, communication and collaboration and foster economic prosperity of Odisha as a state and the people of Odisha. 

As the world gets closer aided by the digital tools, resident and non-resident Odias would need to develop a deeper commune for the comprehensive development of Odisha. The Team GOC has dedicated itself to build an inclusive platform of the global Odia diaspora, promote & support active Odia NextGen participation in the state’s all-around progress. 

Some of the specific planned activities are: (but not limited to)

• Promotion and implementation of programs with NRO collaborations in the areas of IT/BT/Science/Technology, R&D, Education, Civil society, and Entrepreneurship Development sectors.
• Creation & provision of avenues for active participation of NROs in social and entrepreneurial development across sectors in Odisha.Multilateral and bilateral: Technical collaboration activities with various stake holders
• Promotion of NRO investments in Industries and Infrastructure in the State.Reach: National, regional and international collaborations and partnerships.
• Promotion of knowledge and skills exchanges with US institutions, bilaterally.Knowledge dissemination: Workshops, trainings and conferences in the regions.
• Establishing a knowledge hub for youth development, scientific progress, cultural enrichment, career growth and global outreach.
• Promotion of Odisha centric activities in other countries, including cultural showcasing& exchanges.
